No, Liza Minnelli is not turning down an offer of marriage at the Paris Gay Pride Parade, she’s just being worshiped by Paris Mayor Bertrand Delanoe. The pink scarf is a nice touch, don’t you think?
It’s time Liza found another ex husband.

Let’s make this perfectly clear: You must be under 5 years old to wear a matching jacket and shorts. Do not let anyone else convince you otherwise.
And yet designers like Fouquet Berriere insisted at Paris Menswear Fashion Week that dumbass shorts suits were a viable sartorial choice.
Fouquet that.

It’s been reported that the Jackson family visited Neverland (above during better times) over the weekend — the place to which Michael said he’d never return — apparently considering it as a burial spot for the fallen pop icon.

Neverland (above, recently) could become a Graceland-type attraction for the King of Pop’s legion of fans, generating millions in revenue. Perhaps they’ll bury Michael under that big clock.
Who doesn’t love a big clock?
UPDATE: Looks like the City of Santa Barbara doesn’t want a tourist attraction — zoning permits won’t allow it at Neverland, so unless there’s a quickie change in laws, MJ won’t be going back there, just as he vowed he wouldn’t after his last trial.

No, the Judds aren’t on tour again. These wholesome family fashions were seen at the Gay Pride festival in Bogota, Colombia this weekend.

Yeah, the Judds don’t look like that at all.

My imaginary daughter Amy, 6, spent a lot of time in front of the TV at Carolyn’s these past few days, as Carolyn was very busy with work and preparing for a family gathering at Fahd’s. Naturally, Amy was swept up in the coverage of Michael Jackson’s death, and like many, had a few questions, the first being, “How did he become a white lady?”

“Well, darling,” I began hesitantly, “he didn’t like the way he looked so he had plastic surgery to change his face, but he wasn’t a lady.” She thought for a moment, and then without hesitation asked, “Can I get a surgery to make me pretty too?”
“But honey, you’re already pretty,” I said, placing the palm of my hand across her ample cheek, adding, “You don’t need to change a thing.” She thought for a moment and looked around the room at nothing in particular, then said, “What’s for lunch?”

I had already prepared a watermelon and feta salad, because she loves anything sweet and salty, and she loved this dish. “It doesn’t need a thing,” she echoed, then asked, “Did Michael Jackson take Vicodamns and Midol like mommy does?”
“I don’t think so, sweetheart.”
“If you and Carolyn got dead, who would take care of me?”
“You’ll be all grown up when that happens, precious, and you’ll be able to take care of yourself,” I lied, knowing that an ironclad arrangement in case of just such an eventuality had already been reached as part of the divorce agreement.
She pondered a moment and said, “This salad is really good, Ricky.”

After lunch, Amy drew this picture of Michael Jackson as “a gift for his children” and asked me to mail it to them.
And I did.

Here’s a cheery pic of Christopher Street Day in Berlin on Saturday.
Nice armband!
Seventy years ago, German gays were among those herded in to concentration camps.

It’s been a rough week. I feel nostalgic and sentimental. So this first selection doesn’t even have video — but the tune is so gorgeous, I wanted to play it today… in Chexy’s Saturday Matinee. Here’s “Sentimental Walk” from the movie “Diva.”
Continuing on the theme, here’s Ella Fitzgerald from 1958, “I’ve Got a Right to Sing the Blues.” I think that’s Harry James with her.
In memory of Michael Jackson — here’s Nat King Cole, with the haunting “Nature Boy.”
And here’s Paul McCartney with “Yesterday” circa 1964.

I’m just waiting for the Michael Jackson death photo to sneak out of the morgue. There were post-mortem pix of JFK, Marilyn, Elvis, John Lennon and Larry King. There are sure to be pix of MJ.
