While on her historic visit to Ireland, Betty wore this Swiss wool coat with turquoise candy buttons and a matching bonnet, perfect for laying wreaths in memory of war dead, in this case, the 50,000 Irish who died in WWI.
Betty’s baubles today are a pair of breathtaking Boucheron aquamarine clips, given to her by her parents as a gift for her 18th birthday in 1944.
Betty stopped at the Guinness Brewery in Dublin, but did not imbibe. One can’t wear that kind of jewelry and drink beer.
