It’s Groundhog Day, and it’s the 63rd birthday of Ina Garten, The Barefoot Contessa. I make no conclusions about that coinkydink.
This woman annoys me in the most compelling way — I just want to watch her so I can mentally ridicule her smarmy display of culinary skill. And then she invites her swishy friends over and I love her again. And then she’s kissing on that creepy husband of hers and making me very uncomfortable. And then she invites one of her swishy friends over and I love her again.
Her theme song is hypnotic — in the same way that nitrous oxide is; they give it to me, I sit there and watch them — it plays, I watch her, and feel like I can’t move.
And now, some videos from Cerulean Emerald. Some really good videos.
“The Big C” actress Gabourey Sidibe, seen looking precious outside of what appears to be a freight entrance, at last night’s “Social Network” premiere in NYC, and…
Gabourey Sadibe as seen at last night’s Showtime with The Cinema Society screening of her new show, “The Big C” at the private home of Donna Karan… and a Laura Ashley bedspread.
Both flowery and trimmed with pink, and yet only one is too big for the room.
Oh here’s some TV deliciousness. Airport brawlette Nikki Blonsky is starring in “Huge” for ABC Family (who are these families watching this shizz?).
ABC’s site describes the show with their usual hyperbolic candor: “Funny, heartbreaking and provocative, Huge follows the lives of seven teens and the staff at a weight-loss camp, as they look beneath the surface to discover their true selves and the truth about each other.” Sounds perfectly scintillating.
And here’s a pic from one hilarious episode when Nikki (as “Willamina”) uses a washing machine as a bidet.
