My brother (who has never fully accepted that I was an only child) is vacationing in Australia, and he sent this great pic of a police van that I just love.

Below is a picture found in my Aunt Helen’s archives that he’s used to try to prove that we’re related. That’s me on the right, already practicing my hand gestures.

He also snapped a pic of this cool purse.

I hope he bought it for one of my nieces, although I’m sure they don’t.

When I saw this picture that Kim Kardashian tweeted last night, I couldn’t tell, at first, if her eyes were open or closed… which reminded me of this famous Jesus painting by Gabriel Max with the open/closed eyes illusion.

The father of one of them represented O.J. Simpson.

That’s the first Chinese American movie star, Anna May Wong, born in the Chinatown section of Los Angeles in 1905. By age 19, she was playing opposite superstar Douglas Fairbanks in “Thief of Baghdad.”

In 1926, she helped drive the first rivets into Grauman’s Chinese Theatre at the groundbreaking ceremony, although she was not asked for her hand and footprints.

There’s something Wong with that.

It’s Lisa and Louise Burns, who made their first and last film appearance in the unforgettable 1980 horror flick.

Today, Lisa has a degree in Literature and Language, and Louise is a microbiologist, and they’re today’s Friday Faces.
